tah-tah
I really enjoyed this class and have enjoyed the opportunity to use my skills as a writer...I am not sure if I will ever visit this blogspot ever again but it has been fun. Working on this paper was kind of like going back to my roots sort of...

coming to the end...
Well, I will be honest and say that I do not think that my writing has changed in style or format. I have a pretty solid writing background and my style and voice is pretty much established. But, I always enjoy the opportunity to use my writing skills whatever the genre may be. This class has definitely been helpful in helping me to e more free with my use of citations...You don't find that often in creative writing...and even when i do personal reearch I am not required to authenticate the information...since i am only going to use it for a creative endeavor

to keep or not to keep...that is the question...
I really do not know if I will continue to post this blog after the course is over. I already visit facebook pretty regularly and really do not know if I will ever even think to come back here to post. Even though I writer by nature I still don't have this connection to writing a journal on the internet. It is really not my style, but who knows maybe I will change my mind an turn it into something...Originally I was going to use it for film reviews so maybe i will do that.

Peer Reviews...
I have a background in writing I am accustomed to having my work reviewed and critiqued by others, either classmates or other writers. Overall, the experience is not so bad. We are all sensitive about our work, but you have to let others give their opinions. Just remember these two things. Firstly, sometimes having an outsiders perspective can help you to clarify or change things that really may need a bit of changing. Secondly, if the person is a moron and their opinion is irrelevant and stupid then simply smile and nod, then disregard their opinion. At the end of the day you still have control over your work...some may love it...some may hate it...you cannot please everyone. Work to create something that you can stand by and you'll always be fine.

The last 6 weeks...lol
Well the last six weeks have been pretty stressful actually. I have been unemployed for some time now and financial issues continue to become grimmer and grimmer as we speak. All and all I try to remain positive and see the light at the end of the tunnel,,,but the tunnel seems to be getting longer, and therefore frustrating...Right now, because I have not yet found another job...school has kind of become that temporary substitute. I have plenty of time to complete school work, so school is never an added stressor...sometimes it is a relief. If I am focused on an assignment then I am not, for that moment, stressing about anything else..so I try to keep telling myself that homework is therapeutic.

My Way...
My writing style kind of varies depending on the style of the project that I am working on...When it is a story or a script I do a lot of Outlining...mixed in with a lot of scribbles to remind me about ideas for dialogue. However, when it is a more formal paper then I tend to write an outline then create chunks of paragraphs based on the outline...but not in any particular order...like freewriting myself into a rough draft...I can then move things around like a puzzle until everything has a flow and it is the perfect fit...

Information Ownership...
The internet makes the ownership of information, almost, impossible. I mean anything out there that is copyrighted does belong to someone. They are supposed to be owed "royalties," the amount of money paid to "borrow" the work, information or material. These rules used to be very strict...You could not make money off someones work even if it is only in the background. An example...Have you noticed how they rarely sing the song "Happy Birthday" on television shows anymore? It is mostly because the royalties that must be paid to use the song is nearly a million dollars. The internet takes information and sends it out so fast to so many places people aren't always even aware of the initial source.

Too many topics!!!
So, I have been trying for the last two weeks to settle on a topic for this assignment. As a writer I know that there are just so many possibilities out there for potential topics that will be persuasive, informative and interesting, so many that it makes choosing so difficult. I am narrowing it down slowly but surely...lol...very slowly...lol. I am really looking forward to hearing more of the ideas and topics that the class as a whole presents...form what I have seen so far there appear to be some very strongly opinionated people in this course and that always makes thing interesting.
